Join an Aloha Small-Group Lesson – our most popular lesson! You’ll enjoy personalized instruction at fantastic value, with just 2-6 participants allowed per class.
We guarantee small group sizes to ensure a safe and fun lesson for everyone. Small groups are safer, more fun, and provide more personalized instruction for each individual. You’ll get the assistance needed to understand how to surf faster! 100% worth it.
Your equipment hire is included – a soft-top beginner surfboard and full length wetsuit, correctly fitted to you.
The class begins with a 20 minute beach theory, where you’ll learn ocean safety, paddling and pop-up. Then you’ll be taken into the water, where your instructor will help you onto small waves and cheer you on.
Before you know it, you’ll be riding waves with a huge smile on your face!
Bonus: After each of your lessons you will receive a free 1 hour surfboard hire to practice your new surfing skills!
Harbour Cruise
Cruise on the iconic 70 year old Kewpie shes been lovingly restored and is Tauranga's original harbour cruise boat. Say on board or get dropped off and spend an hour or a day on the beautiful island of Matakana. This is an idyllic beach visit. Beautiful beach walks, fishing, swimming and picnics are popular.
Please note Matakana Island drop off is available on the 11am or 12pm cruise subject to weather and sea conditions. This is at the skippers discretion.
Scenic features of our cruise include the Statue of Tangaroa, a diversity of landscapes from untouched white sandy beaches, lush green forests, islands and small village settlements, contrasted by the massive highly developed port infrastructure. Occasionally you may see some seasonal wildlife on your cruise like blue penguins, sea birds or NZ fur seals.
